3 APPLE CIDER VINEGAR RECIPES

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has been advocated for its many health benefits. No kitchen is truly complete without this staple ingredient. Organic brands that are naturally fermented with the "MOTHER" offer a wide range of health benefits. What is the "MOTHER"? It is simply the apple cider vinegar that still has the culture of beneficial bacteria that turns regular apple cider into vinegar in the first place. Unrefined Apple Cider Vinegar can be used in skin remedies and beauty recipes. It can be used to help sunburns, skin rashes and mosquito bites (I typically dilute 50:50 with water & a few drops of lavender essential oil). It is also great for digestion. Fermented apples contain PECTIN which support the growth of good bacteria in the gut and reduces intestinal inflammation. 3 simple ACV recipes:

1. Tummy calm tea

Ingredients: 1 tbsp raw honey (optional), 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, 1 lemon juiced, 1 tbsp ACV, 2 cups water Method: In a small saucepan over a medium heat, add 2 cups of water, lemon juice, ginger and honey. Bring to a GENTLE boil and simmer for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add ACV. 2. Morning digestive drink Drink this first thing in the AM on an empty stomach to wake your digestive system up

Ingredients: 1 tsp ACV, juice of 1/2 a lemon and 1/2 a cup of water Method: Just mix ingredients together and sip 3. ACV vinaigrette Simple dressing for salads (I sometimes use it on my pasta too)

Ingredients: 1 tbsp ACV, 1 tsp mustard, juice of 1 lemon and 2 tbsp EVOO Method: mix ingredients together and drizzle over salad. Increase amounts depending on how much salad you're making
