Pretty sure everyone on this planet can agree that chunky chips (or fries for my American homies reading) are one of the BEST comfort foods ever. Problem is, when buying them from local chip shops, they are usually deep fried in unhealthy oils and do nothing good for our body. Don’t get me wrong, they taste amazing like this but I’m not down with having heart disease.
Home made is ALWAYS the better option. Having FULL control of what you put into your body, how the ingredients are sourced & how they are cooked is an amazing feeling. Healthy food without compromising on taste is always the goal.
These chips were the ULTIMATE comfort food and there is not one toxic ingredient in this recipe! Too perfect.
WHAT YOU NEED:
– Salt, pepper, garam masala, paprika, turmeric (these are all optional. Remix whatever seasoning you like)
– Coconut oil
Wash, roughly peel and chop potatoes to a medium thickness
Season with salt, garam masala, turmeric and paprika
Place a pan over a medium/high heat and add coconut oil

Once its melted add the seasoned potatoes
Leave the to shallow fry until they are golden brown then flip them over
When they are brown on each side and soft all the way through, take them out of the pan and place them on a plate with a paper towel underneath (to soak up the excess oil)
